Thank you to everyone who has helped over the last 6 weeks with bird-watching in and around school. We did our official count today at lunchtime and we saw an amazing number of different birds. There's still time to take part yourself at home, if you count the birds in your garden and submit the results by 18th February. Here are our results:
Year 5 e-Safety RapIf it looks too good to be true, then it is, It’s a SCAM, SCAM, SCAM SCAM SCAM! So I got this email, It said ‘are you female?’ And it said I had to send back all of my details I was just about to give out all of my information When I stopped… a little hesitation It’s a fake, it’s a scam My brain’s not made of jam Some people might not see it but believe that I can! When I saw I’d won the jackpot I screamed and I shouted My mum went ‘hmmm’ I could see that she doubted I typed in my password then I stopped and I pouted I’m not having my info getting outed! Privacy is needed But everybody sees it Once your information’s on the internet you can’t retrieve it If something looks weird then you probly can’t believe it It’s a scam my man so let me just repeat it! If you play on your computer or your PS4 Make sure you remember the internet law Don’t get scammed by the online pirateses Your PC could get nasty dirty viruses ! What a great day. Every class did lots of Spanish lessons and experienced Spanish culture and cuisine in some cases. If you fancy a quick snack, roasted chickpeas with paprika is fantastic!
Inspired by a TV programme about a children’s hospital, Katie from Los Buhos decided to make a collection of selection boxes and sweets to send to QMC for children who have to spend Christmas in hospital. Katie collected 166 items, easily beating her target of 150. Katie and Caitlin (Los Murcielagos) delivered the items to QMC on Wednesday. Claire Hardy from Nottingham Children’s Hospital said: Thank you so much for the visit yesterday and for the amazing amount of goodies that the girls collected in. I bet the school and their families are very proud of them. Thank you to everyone who donated to Katie’s appeal and a huge thank you to Katie for her brilliant idea. It's that time of year again, when we recycle our scrap paper into artistic chains! Can anyone beat the current record chain length? 50.5 metres, made by the Green team 4 years ago! Thank you to Cllr Collins, Mrs O'Leary, Mr Moody, Mr Saghir and Ms Langton for visiting us and sharing dinner in the hall. The cake was designed by Muhammad in Year 4 and everyone agreed that is was absolutely amazing! Two more records have been broken this week. See what they are on the Record Breakers page.
